Rick,

great tool, thanks for that.
i have already played around with it and it just works, realy nice.

i have only one question before buying it.
how to set it up to capture and run https urls?

is there a "how to" to set it up for https urls?

thanks,
jmager

jmager,

There should be nothing special to do for SSL tests executing - that should just work.

For SSL captures - I think that should just work as well, but since WebSurge uses Fiddler core I suspect you might need to install the Fiddler root certificate to allow capture of SSL content.

More info here (you need to install Fiddler I guess):
http://docs.telerik.com/fiddler/configure-fiddler/tasks/decrypthttps

Could you let me know what happens with this? I'll check it out here by removing the cert and then trying again, but I'd like to be sure that this is the best way to get SSL to run.

Rick,

Thanks for your answer, that exactly did the trick.
The fiddler certificate wasn't installed at my machine.
After installing the certificate, i only needed to relaunch WebSurge to force it to recognize the cert.

after the relaunch, capturing the SSL-content and executing it again did just work like you said.

maybe you can spend a line or two in your blog-post about how to get SSL capture working.

thanks again

Thanks,

Added a few lines to blog post and into the help file docs.

In the future, I'll probably add code to allow auto-install of the certificate like Fiddler does. I think FiddlerCore supports this but I'm not quite sure how - looking into it (in the Fiddler Book).

Aloha,
