I am about to set up a brand new server from scratch, this server will run WWC latest version on a WinServer2012 box with MSSQL 2012. On my laptop (Win10-64) I use IIS, and on my old server I used Apache.

Since I need to be able to do all my development and testing on my laptop, before copying the files to my server, I wonder which web server you recommend for my new server, Apache or IIS. I ask since I believe that having the same web server on my laptop and live server will be easier to maintain. Or not?

IIS for sure. Apache is a pain to configure and it's not automated from the Web Connection POV. Web Connection will also run better on IIS with the .NET module.
