I am used to work on Windows XP, but I just buyed a notebook with Windows 7 now.
After much work to install and configure Web Connection 5.62 (expecially about IIS requirements) I am ready to create a new project.
I run the new project wizard from management console in FoxPro.
After specified every parameter I click on Finish button, but unfortunately I get the error:
"Unable to create virtual directory MyNewProject. Please configure the virtual directory manually in your web server administration application".
Please what is wrong?
In Windows XP I have no problems, but here I have a big trouble :(
Many thanks
It sounds like you're missing IIS components on your machine.
Please follow the IIS install steps in the help file:

Tje first error message is:
"Unable to create virtual directory MyNewProject. Please configure the virtual directory manually in your web server administration application".
This is strange because I find the folder c:\inetpub\wwwroot\MyNewProject
The second error message is:
"Unable to create scriptmap .wc. Please configure scriptmap manually in your web server administration application".
I am the only (administrator) user and the machine is Windows 7 professional, just buyed.
I am very sorry, I never had such problems on XP.
Any suggestion?

I confirm it is NOT possible to run create project wizard on Console also installing all IIS components in Windows 7.
Application pool, virtual directory, ISAPI restrictions, scripmaps configurations are possible only with manual procedures.
I have a new notebook and I spent much time to try to configure WC 5.62 in Windows 7. Fortunately WC has a detailed manual, also about manual configurations, otherwise I would not be able to work on Windows 7.
I installed IIS components showed on your manual plus every other IIS component, however the problem remains.

The Console should work fine on Windows 7. You do have to run as a real administrator (or run FoxPro as an Administrator).

News: I was been able to complete WC configuration manually by following manual configuration in the "Windows 7, Vista and Server 2008 Configuration" section of documentation.

I am the only user, with administrator rights. How many administrators are there?

You are not a real administrator if you have user account control enabled.
