Doing some more research for CC processors and ran into flagshipprocessing.com. Looks like they use authorize.net for the gateway and they have some killer rates. Anyone know anything about them?

Thanks.

I've been using BrainTree recently. They had/have a deal where the first $50,000 in processing is free - no fees at all which has been awesome. Normal rates are 2.9% flat rate for all transactions - no other fees. And signup is very quick and easy - much less of a hassle than the typical merchant account setup usually required.

While rates might seem high when I went through all of my bills for CC processing between gateway fees, merchant fees and provider fees, special cards that process at 4+% my effective average monthly was actually more than the 2.9%. There are a host of other providers that offer similar flat rates (Simple, PayPal Payments and MerchantPlus are a couple). Unless you're doing high volume processing I suspect the 2.9% flat rate actually is going to be cheaper than the typical custom merchant account setup.

One problem with BrainTree is that they don't have a REST API - they only have platform SDKs. They have a super easy .NET one though and it's easy to interface with wwDotnetBridge. Ping me if you need more info - I use the it in my .NET store.

Lots of options these days.

I did some more research on flagshipprocessing.com and I found too many bad reviews so I think I am going to leave them alone. I have looked at BrainTree and I think that is the direction I am going to go.

Thanks Rick.

Yeah...

If you do want to go the full merchant route, check out MerchantPlus. I've dealt with them for years and they are really good. Using htem you can use Authorize.NET.

Hard to beat BrainTree with their first $50,000 free though... but not quite as FoxPro friendly as the simple POST interface of Auth.NET.

I'm pretty happy with Stripe.

Thanks Michael. I think I am going with braintreepayments.com for now. The 50,000 free is just too good to pass up.
