IAC, you can change the field width to 80 or whatever you need in the HBP file. It's just a Fox table... (or you can do it in the field editor on the Tools menu).

Yes you can just change the field width in the table. FWIW, the topic width in the latest version is 80 characters not 50 so if you update to more recent version the field with should automatically update to that.
