I think the problem is now fixed. I removed the "Everyone" group from the security permissions on the folder containing the project and compiling worked every time I tried even with the compatibility settings removed. I am not sure why everyone would cause the problem unless it is just a case of security permissions getting messed up.

So I will monitor it for a while and see if it is truly resolved.

Hi

I have a continual problem with compiling applications on Windows 7. All most every time I compile I get an error message saying the "File access is denied" for ".vbr" file. This did not happen under XP or Vista but it happens almost all the time in Windows 7. I run as Administrator but this does not help.

If I compile the second time without quitting VFP then I get a second message saying that the file is in use.

Has anyone else seen this problem or have an idea how to fix it?

Regards,
Simon
