UAC is turned off and I have "Run As Administrator" set as well for all users.

I find that the first time I build the "exe" I get the error. I then quit VFP and then re-start VFP and build the "exe" again and most times it works. Ocassionally I have to restart VFP 3 or 4 times before it will build the "exe". I also have the compatiblity mode set to "Windows XP SP3" which helps a little since I was unable to produce the "exe" without the compatibility mode.

Simon,

Make sure you are in fact an administrator on Windows 7. If you're running with User Access Control *on* you are not an Administrator even if your user account is flagged as an account in the Administrators group. You have to use Run As Administrator or turn UAC off to run an app really as an Administrator.

Hi

I have a continual problem with compiling applications on Windows 7. All most every time I compile I get an error message saying the "File access is denied" for ".vbr" file. This did not happen under XP or Vista but it happens almost all the time in Windows 7. I run as Administrator but this does not help.

If I compile the second time without quitting VFP then I get a second message saying that the file is in use.

Has anyone else seen this problem or have an idea how to fix it?

Regards,
Simon
