The installation process sets up the West Wind Web Store for operation of the Web site on IIS. This sets up and configures a virtual directory, sets directory permissions and gets the application ready for execution. This section covers both the provided Configuration Utility and manual configuration.

Before getting started please make sure that IIS is installed and ASP.NET 2.0 registered on your Web server. You can check this by quickly creating a HelloWorld.ASPX page and accessing this page through the Web Browser.

If IIS works and ASP.NET is not working it is likely not registered. To fix this do the following:

• Make sure that the .NET 2.0 Framework is installed
  
• Run ASPNET_REGIIS.EXE -i in the .NET Framework directory
  (c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727)
