Item Image Upload Form
|

Images uploaded get assigned the name of the image you specified on the Inventory form for the main image and SM_<imagename> for the thumbnails in the images/itemimages folder.
Image Sizing
The upload process can be used to resize images on import and automatically create a thumbnail for you. Images should be within a general size range in order to display well in the Inventory form. Roughly 220x220 for big images and 110x110 for thumbnails works best. You can play around with these sizes, but this seems optimal for most types of items. Note that when you specify sizes the longer of the two sides is sized down to. So if your image is 440 x 320 and you resize to 220 pixels it will become 220 x 160.
Note that image resizing will lose transparency of GIF and PNG images. If you need transparent images you will need to upload pre-sized images. For the main image transparency is not likely to be an issue, but thumbnails often show on alternating backgrounds and transparency may be desired.
Image Names
Once uploaded images are automatically displayed on the bottom of the form. Image names are determined by the name you specified in the item form and the name is displayed above the first upload entry box.
