My time on the mainland is coming to a close once again. I’ve been having a fun summer here in Hood River, but tomorrow (no today <s>) I’m on my way back. The last day before getting back is always one hell of a rush job, trying to get everything packed, and buttoned down for a 7-8 month hiatus. It’s like packing up and throwing away the key each time.

It’s been a fun summer here in Hood River. Lots of wind and time with alternate activities, but it seems I’ve spent way too much time inside stuck in front of the computer this year. It’s been an interesting time too with many interesting projects most of which had some sort of R&D aspect to them, which explains why I actually have put up with the avalanche of work I’ve been buried under for the last few months. So much so that I’ve had to turn down some interesting proposals that I would have liked to have been involved in.

Oh, well, now it’s of to warmer climes and waves (yay!). Looks like the Pacific has gotten an early start on winter this years with the storm season kicking off way early. Hey, it even looks like there might be some surf and wind on Tuesday – just in time…

Ah, life is good…
