Code Camp will be next week in Southern Cal at Cal State Fullerton and I'm going to be there to give a couple sessions (not all of these - sessions aren't quite final yet). I'm really looking forward to this event – there's a huge turn out of speakers on a variety of topics. Topics are heavily slanted towards .NET but there are a number of general and 'other' topics like several sessions on Ruby, Python and general Software Development topics (mostly agile stuff).
There were apparently some issues during the session picking process. I submitted 5 sessions although I wasn't planning on doing them all, and all are listed. I see several other speakers loaded down with 5 or 6 sessions. I expect that the session list will trim down somewhat to leave speakers with a more reasonable load. Personally I don't want to do more than 2 or 3 to have some time to attend sessions.
This event is one hell of a value for a free event and the Code Camps I've attended or spoken at in recent months have all been a blast. Kind of like a low pressure conference that's a bit more interactive and personal than bigger conferences. I suspect turnout in LA will be a bit bigger than up in Portland though …
If you live in the LA area and have time stop by, learn something new for free and say hi...
I'll see 'ya there...
