Europe 2008
This year I got away for the summer to go to Europe to stay with Nadia in Switzerland. I was there for 3 months and also had some contract work in Geneva for a few weeks. We managed to get away quite a bit - lots of cruising around with several trips to Germany, around Switzerland and to Italy. Some craziness ensued.

  • Need I say more?
  • Out on a bike ride.
  • Short walk into 'town': Old castle town of Murten.
  • Taking a walk around the lake - beautiful almost 'Pacific' sunsets dailyt (when the sun was out - it was cold and nasty this year)
  • 'Downtown' Murten.
  • Murten is a traditional town left pretty much in its old time state. Classic.
  • Ok - favorite place: Chocolatier Zueger! Of course - priorities.
  • Which way does the wind blow? Not much it turns out, but the weather vane made of gold looks cool.
  • Pair programming with a new Team member.
  • Yoga lessons. Look closely.
  • Homer in Hawaii - uh, sort of.
  • Similar hair cuts?
  • Ah yes, one more time: Zueger.
  • Bern city center.
  • Omnivore!
  • Am Bern Tor.
  • Those crazy Dutch folks during the Euro 2008. There were several 100 thousand dutch in town painting the city orange!
  • Travel Companions - off to Geneva.
  • Geneva fountain from 'Stand'. All roads lead to Stand!
  • And one more of the fountain with the Euro 2008 soccer ball on top.
  • Somebody get a gardener!
  • Those Swiss love their flags. They got a flag for everything from Country down to street corner.
  • A day in the park.
  • Harbor view.
  • How to become a Swiss citizen.
  • Or maybe brute force is a better way?
  • Church in old town Geneva.

  • Somebody's gotta work around here or we'll go nowhere!
  • Others enjoy the sunshine...
  • Meanwhile...
  • Some prefer the saftey of a roof over their head.
  • Made it and then it's all fun and games again.
  • ... and nap time again.
  • Always these long walks...
  • What's this? Grass hut? I always thought of those differently.
  • More walking - dead end.
  • Ok let's play stick...
  • Now we've done it... Homer is 'done'.
  • Just a short rest please.
