I’m working on creating some demo videos with Camtasia which is just a wonderful product… Camtasia is great but Media Player is a royal pain in the ass <g>…

I like to use Camtasia and produce screen capture videos into WMV format because it’s by far the smallest format. You can view the content in Media Player and it works great in most cases.

However, on my local machine I cannot get media player to properly display ‘actual size’ view. I seem to run into this from time to time and eventually it starts working again. The problem isn’t an issue when you’re watching true video, but it sure is a mess if you’re watching screen capture video because the text gets blurry very quickly.

You can press Alt-2 in WMP which is supposed to go to actual view, but it’s not working on this machine. If I open the same files across the network from another machine it comes up properly sized. I have the viewer set to 100% (switched to 50 then back too with no change) but it’s still not right. I have it set to ‘Resize to size of video’ as well and the viewer does resize on startup, but resizes WRONG.

Anybody know how to get the viewer back to properly sizing for the video?
