I've got a new house-guest and he's making the most out of his 'natural' environment:

House Guest

The geckos in the house are always making themselves at home and nowadays, if you're a gecko you gotta stay with the times and become modern. This fellow obviously knows about staking his claim and duplicating his wild life environment on the inside.

I commend LinkSys for doing their part in providing a natural habitat for the local gecko population...

I've written about the local geckos here on Maui and in this house in particular a few times. They are always a source of entertainment. First they like to hang out where ever I happen to be in the house. I know I have a magnetic personality but I didn't know it extended to Geckos. My mom would be proud - she always says I attract the wrong kind of lizards - eh women.

What's interesting is that Geckos are usually pretty shy and run off, but these get downright cozy. I think it must be the heat of the computers in the office or maybe they are drawn by some sort of smell (???) They are really mellow once they get comfortable and don't even run off if you touch them.

So, at least I get to slave NOT all by myself all night - at least I got some company ...

my cat also likes (sitting on) important applicances in the digital age such as wireless router, cable modem,laptops. i guess she really likes the heat and kind of digs the flashing lights too.

Your poor Gecko is in a less than desirable location if the gecko physiology is not immune to radio frequencies. Maybe linksys should be chastised instead!

Ah yes... this might be the gecko equivalent for living under power lines.

Somehow I doubt it - they keep coming back - maybe it's the opposite effect.

I just hope my wireless connectivity doesn't suffer from fat gecko blockage... They didn't advertise that on the LinkSys sales brochure... <g>

Hi Rick,

You should see this as an business oportunity! That photo could be an excellent marketing advertisement for Linksys. Of course, you can have some problems with organizations which defend animal rights, because you let gecko under radiation :)

So, act fast: sell this photo to Linksys, or remove it quickly, before you have a process on that :)

I wonder if the gecko gets microwaved to a nice warm temp? Seems likely at that very close range!
