Well, let's not get too optimistic yet <s>...
I did change the way the guid is generated and I suspect that that may have been the problem. But let's wait it out for another few posts. It certainly appears to not double up immediately so that's at least a good sign.

I also received only one copy (so far). But at the same time I received new copies of some older posts (e.g. "Snowbound", "Evaluating JavaScript..."). This happened both in google reader and RssBandit.

Thanks everybody. But lets wait with more comments here until further posts are made.
Martin, as I mentioned I changed the GUID scheme so this may result now in duplicates of old posts.
It's good to see only one post arrived of the new test entry and that's a good sign that possibly the new GUIDs are working where the old ones didn't. However, it's also possible that it works because the entry is very short and doesn't use Word's HTML markup - IOW, the markup is way simple. Next post that gets made will be a 'normal' post and we'll see how that fares <s>...

Weird, just got duplicates this am. I'm using Thunderbird 1.5.0.10 to aggregate my feeds. Who knows, might just be me, I did just recently upgrade to Vista... :)
